This is another song that came from a household conversation. In teaching my youngest daughter, Alex, how to recognize certain letters, I showed her that some letters kind of look the same. If they are just flipped around, or upside down, they can be a totally different letter of the alphabet.

A letter M can flip to become a W.
An N on its side could be a Z.

When I said to Alex that an A without a middle could be a V, the concept for this song took shape. If an A becomes a V, they'd probably be missing their best friend B, because they'd spent so much time together in the Alphabet.

This got me thinking about our own relationships - how some friends live close by, how some are far away. Missing our friends can bring up some pretty big emotions.

We also have to recognize how kids have had to navigate these uncertain times we're all in. It's been tough on kids and adults alike. We miss our friends... But, they are still our friends whether they are next to us in the alphabet or not ;)
