Song #7

from Twilight Songs by Andrew Rodger

/

about

Song #7 is one of my oldest, and most requested songs. Written for a wonderful friend in 1994 as we both experienced some major changes in our lives.

It has taken on new meaning over the years, and especially this past year. Life can be hard to navigate in this craziness we're living through. If you need to reach out to someone, please do.

lyrics

Sometimes you feel
Like the weight of the world is on your shoulders
This can’t be real
Got to get away
Leave it all behind
Wish I could reach into the sky
Get you some answers
I would do anything
I would do anything

Where can you go when you feel alone
Where can you turn when you’re spinning around
Look for my hand reaching out for you
I see your tears
I see your tears

Sometimes life
It can drag you down
It ‘ll pick you up
Throw you around
But you can’t kick yourself while you’re down
If you need help getting up
I’m still around
I’m still around

Where can you go when you feel alone
Where can you turn when you’re spinning around
Look for my hand reaching out for you
I see your tears
Yes I see your tears

You’ve got to know you’re not alone
You’ve got to know when you’re spinning around
Look for my hand reaching out for you
I see your tears
Yes I see your tears
